For The Record... Real History

Black, White And All Others
The Story Of The Lovetts, Watters, Taylors, Nguyens And What-All

Please be intellectually honest and read what is presented.
It is my family history. I am a mulatto. I am from the south.
The brother against brother thing is present in my own family.
Winston County. Haleyville Alabama.
There is much to say and consider, and most of it I won't disclose unless there is a demand for more.
I have family of many races and cultures and none of us, that I know of, are fighting these battles the country is involved in.
Many are being deceived by the same group of people that have twisted history to conform to their narratives.
This is part 1 of a much, much larger work.
Thanks for checking in.

Family Devotional-02/22/2014

Exodus 20:12- http://bit.ly/1fjpvGg

How can you say you honor God when you don't honor your parents? God says to honor your mother and father and it doesn't stop when you are grown. Listen now about how God spoke to a man, literally and told him to write these things down. Listen to how specific things are instructed by God. Do you hear from God like that? Most of us can't understand or choose not to understand and obey simple directives, such as honor your mother and father that your days be long upon the earth...Imagine if we listened and obeyed as this man did as you read along or listen.

The man's name is Moses and he wrote the first 5 books of the Bible through the verbal stories told and from dictation from God (especially the law, since it did not exist prior to Moses). I would like to be as good a note taker...It shows how God can enable us if we listen and obey.

Leviticus 13:1-59

Noah- Stress Col. 3:15  Also, let Christ’s peace control you. God has called you into this peace by bringing you into one body. Be thankful.

Matthew- Season of rededication- Deut. 30:19
Fighting against the flesh-Gal 5:17- What your corrupt nature wants is contrary to what your spiritual nature wants, and what your spiritual nature wants is contrary to what your corrupt nature wants. They are opposed to each other. As a result, you don’t always do what you intend to do.

Romans 12:2  Don’t become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will always be able to determine what God really wants—what is good, pleasing, and perfect.

Forgive us of our sins and for sinning, and please put it in the hearts of those we have offended both real and imagined offenses, to forgive us for their own sakes. Please continually drive out unforgiveness in us. We don't want to live life that way.
Thank you God for all that you are doing in our lives because we know it is for our good.
Please guide our steps when we are confident and when we have no idea what to do. Today and everyday in all things.
Please drive the demonic presence trying to destroy my son, Dylan, away from him forever.
I bind the powers of darkness trying to destroy him, and I rebuke them and cast them out.
I also call on ministering spirits to lead him away from anything to bring him down and I ask you to fill him with your joy and your peace, and the knowledge and feelings of love that so many are trying to express to him. Convict his heart to draw him closer to you. Please forgive him of any unconfessed sin and take advantage of the conviction when it comes. Thanks you Father for loving him even more than we do.

We stand together in agreement on this.
In name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

In His name and on the sign of the rebel, Jesus!

"Don't you ever be ashamed...You're only lonely"-J.D. Souther

Pray for my son today. Depression and more are trying to destroy him. I, too will be praying for him. Thank you.

LONELINESS- It takes many forms. It takes many lives. It takes the life out of the living...

I can think of many of these forms, but for now I want to talk about 3 forms. Feel free to talk about some others in your comments.
...And please comment.

1. Romantic Loneliness with subheadings-
This form has subheadings mainly because of the evolution of a relationship.
For example(s):
-The loneliness felt when you first begin dating and have to leave that person and return home while they stay where they are.
-When you are left for another or a death occurs
-When they are present but unresponsive or indifferent to you.
Of course there are more.

2. Self Inflicted Loneliness-
-This form is usually caused by anger and/or unforgiveness on the part of the lonely. They have chosen not to interact with someone(s) because of these things. Many caveats with this one as well.
The main thing is that this form crosses over with the next form many times.

3. Isolation Loneliness-
-This form the lonely feels as though they are cutoff from their loved one which could be a friend, lover, or anyone else. They feel that they have reached out as a general rule and drawn back a nub.
They usually feel as though they have made repeated attempts with no success and as a general rule have given up hope, for all practical purposes, that things are going to be different going forward.

To further this, they generally shy away from trying to regain closeness with anyone else for fear of falling into the same trap. They turn on themselves and become self critical. Self deprecating. Self loathing at the end.

This is the form of loneliness I believe is at the bottom of most suicides.

Here are the questions:

So, how do you handle loneliness?

Are you in denial about your loneliness?

If you are a cynic or just a person with a keen sense of humor, watch a Steve Martin movie called, "The Lonely Guy".

God With Us -

Date:12/24/2013     Time:06:30 A           Name:Just Lance

The Immanuel Prophecy

Isaiah 7:10-14

10 Moreover the Lord spoke again to Ahaz, saying, 11 “Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above.”

12 But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!”

13 Then he said, “Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? 14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.[a]
Footnotes:

    Isaiah 7:14 Literally God-With-Us

Based on Today:
1.    Which verses stand out to you the most?

2.    How can you apply the wisdom to your own life from that verse(s)
By realizing God's plan for life was around long before me and that it is easier to follow the plan because He plans better than I do!

3.    What could you be happy about if you wanted to?
That Jennifer is not spending Christmas in the hospital.

4.    What could you be proud about if you wanted to?
Matthew taking care of his mother in her time of need even after disagreements have happened.

5.    What could you be thankful about if you wanted to?
That my sister was willing and able to help my family even when she has a legitimate axe to grind with some of them.

6.    What could you be excited about if you wanted to?
Getting to spend some time with ALL of my children!

7.    What action did you/will you take that really matters today?
The only things I can do at this point: Pray, cook a good Christmas meal, and spend time with my kids in fellowship and grace.

8.    Who could use a genuine kind word or some real love from you today? (Can be more than one person)
Jennifer Lovett, Matthew Lovett, Dylan Lovett, and Noah Lovett. -Done.

9.    What is one thing you wish someone else knew about you that you feel that no one or not many people know?
The depth of how much I hurt physically and emotionally and how isolated I feel from everyone I know in my life.

Notes/Follow Up:
This is an example of my daily journal and things I try to focus on each day. I have previously posted a link to download a blank copy you can customize for yourself.

Christmas (P) resents

Christmas (p)resents-
Proverbs 19+

4 Wealth attracts many friends,
but a poor man is separated from his friend.

6 Many seek a ruler’s favor,
and everyone is a friend of one who gives gifts.

7 All the brothers of a poor man hate him;
how much more do his friends
keep their distance from him!
He may pursue them with words,
but they are not there.

17 Kindness to the poor is a loan to the Lord,
and He will give a reward to the lender.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My friends from childhood were talking about hating or not hating Christmas music.
Some of the family did and some didn't. (They happen to Jewish) and I made a joke or two with them, But it got me thinking about the Christmas season in general.

Dr. David Jeremiah (http://www.davidjeremiah.org) has had some radio shows and devotionals about some of the things I was thinking about including Christmas music and missing Christmas emotionally and spiritually if not physically. The devotionals are very  succinct so I recommend going through them for this week.
Read the story of the banker who locked himself in the bank vault!

I want to focus on missing Christmas and some of the many things that can get lost at this time of year.
Mainly, I want to give you something to think about as we go through this season.

Everyone loves to give gifts away...Well, almost everyone.
Everyone loves to receive gifts.
How much do these gifts usually mean 6 months out?
Not as much as they seemed to on Christmas day for most people.

What would mean something to last until next Christmas?

Who smiles on the outside but dies on the inside?

Who is lonely even in a crowded room?

Who feels generosity throughout the year in both financial and emotional areas?

Who feels rejected and suffers in silence because no one really cares?

Who goes for a day or longer without even hearing something kind from another human being?

Who spends so much time worried, anxious, etc about buying gifts, being at a gathering, giving an expensive enough gift, buying enough for their kids?

Who gives to the needy as generously the rest of the year as they do at Christmas time?

Who visits the incarcerated? Checks on the sick? Calls someone to see how they are *really* doing? (Birthdays and holiday DO NOT COUNT!)

Who has been resentful or ungrateful about gifts received OR *not* received?

Who has been resentful or angry about giving a gift and the recipient was ungrateful?

What else can you think of that takes away from how we *should* experience Christmas?

These are all ways we resent Christmas.

How should we *present* Christmas?

Last questions:
Are you on one side or the other of any of those questions?

What are you willing to change this year and how committed are you?

Think about it...

Epilogue:
BTW, I hate Christmas music too!
In His name, and on the sign of the rebel, Jesus!

#Dreams - It happens to us all...

Dreams Part 1 Dec. 2013

Triston, you are not alone.

I posted a comment on Facebook to a friend about a dream he had. I, too, had a disturbing dream that I took... Well, Keep reading. I hope to have the final interpretation of this dream before I post again. That is why this is part one.

Begin part 1-

From my personal/prayer journal, a partial entry 12/17/2013-

09:46p 12/17/2013

FEAR/Worry/Anxiety

Once again I am facing the facts of bills vs money and I can't seem to think not about it. I have prayed and I have faith. I have also experienced some strange things when I get myself worked up to dealing with this and other problems including online account lockouts, strange phone calls, pest control issues, and computer glitches. In addition I wanted to get out and deal with somethings today and planned to do so, then I couldn't sleep overnight and didn't finally go to sleep until post 7:30am. During this I had a dream about being arrested and then I was a marietta policeman and was stopped and was about to be arrested by 4 officers with smart attitudes from Cobb county. I was on a motorcycle and had just gotten on my own on the force (a rookie) and then I awoke.
I had been already feeling like I should plan on staying home and not to go out by a feeling inside. It only grew stronger. As of this writing I believe it was the voice of God warning me not to go out. I have obeyed that, though not without guilty feelings.
Do I know it was about an arrest? No. For all I know it could have been being in a bad accident or some such.
I hope to remember to pay attention to any news that may be part of what I avoided, though I hope no one else suffered.

I plug on trying from here to make progress on what I was needing to get done (in whole or in part).
